• Who doesn't love a Wing Back Chair?

26 July at 23:15 from atlas

Recently we had the pleasure to design this white wing chair for a teenage girl who had a lovely mix of traditional and modern styles.  Features include soft messy tufting complimented with white cabriole legs and curved lines defined by studs on a hard wearing white suede.

The wing back chair more commonly known today as a wing chair has stood the test of time since its development in England during the 1600's.  The winged sides and high-backed design was added to catch the heat from the open fireplaces whilst blocking out the draft from behind.  The timeless majestic wing chair continually reinvents itself to the modern times whilst keeping its dramatic elegance.  From the classic leather diamond tufted with bold scrolled arms on cabriole legs to the modern fabric round back wing chair with straight legs they remain a very popular favourite.
